Well, it's my second full day on the island and its been a tough transition. It's hard to go from being with everyone you love to being on an Island with only a few people you know. I have lived in 3 different places in the last year and my life changes constantly, you'd think I'd get used to up and leaving! But I don't. It's still a bit of a struggle.

I was on a walk this evening and I began to notice the things that don't change. The things that are they always. Things like the ocean, the red, red dirt, and the sun setting. And I was comforted.

When I was younger I craved change. When returning from being away from home I would hope that something new had happened, some new change. But these days what I look for when I come home, where ever that is, is constancy.
So, thank you ocean, soil, and sun for your steady presence.
