Bad news, Folks...

My computer is out of service. I am very close to chucking out a window. This means there will be a lack of posts for a while. I'm not sure how long but hopefully it will be up and running soon!
Just think of all the things we'll have to catch up on!

More Michigan!

I made it on to a blog! My school has their own blog and an article was written up about Michigan and posted today. If you'd like to take a look you can find it here.
I'll be posting something soon! I promise!

Birthdays, birthdays, birthdays!

It just seems to have worked that this weekend is the busiest birthday weekend of the year. Somehow a bunch of people that I love decided to be born in a big clump in the month of November!
Join me in saying a big "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to...
Stacey. Lovely, lovely, Stacey. Chantelle. My soul sister and the most freckled person I know.
My Gramps. Old bugger.
And Sarah. She is the cutest cow I have ever seen. Happy Birthday to you all! I love you lots!

A good day...

This week at school we've been finishing up a rotation so there has been lots of free time and short classes. Today we had our last Human Resource Management class and to my surprise after jokingly saying 'lets have the class outside' our instructor agreed.
So there we were 9 culinary arts students in uniform sitting at a picnic table by the ocean having an HR class...it made me so happy. It was such a gorgeous day, the sun was warm, the breeze was fresh, and for once not a single person fell asleep.

It's almost here!! Well, sort of.

As much as I love all celebrations Christmas has become even nearer and dearer to my heart since I've moved away. This is the one holiday I get to go home for. I get to see all my people and get all cozy with my family.
And then there's the food, of course. And the presents. And that snowy,
cozy, delicious feeling of Christmas eve, I love that feeling.
But wait! I still have 46 days to go. I still have shopping to do and Christmas cards to write (although they are all already addressed!). And as much as I love that week of Christmas I love this month before.
And now, I promise I won't mention anything Christmassy again until closer to the date...unless it happens to snow. Then I might have to tell you all about me frolicking through the snow singing Christmas tunes.
Zip. That's it. Not another word.
On a completely opposite note take a look at what my lovely roommate made for supper. Mushroom ragu with papardelle. To die for!
P.S. I have no idea why the words are so colorful at the beginning....kinda neat...kinda annoying!

Friday Night

The gateway to the weekend. Friday night, much anticipated by all. It is one of my favorite nights. Tonight started off at the gym and ended with brussels sprouts and shrimp...oh and there was a bit of dancing in between!
This is me. The way I've always been. No crazy partying or excessive drinking. I have fun, a lot of fun, but not the way that some 19 year olds do. And you know what? That is perfectly alright with me. I love my life. Mmhmm, I do. And I love brussels sprouts. Tonight while we devoured our lemony shrimp and brussels sprouts Tracy and I discussed whether or not you could actually marry a brussels sprout (or 'b.sprout' as they are know as in our house)...we decided that it would impossible to resist the temptation of eating him and so no, you cannot marry a brussels sprout. There goes my dreams...

What's your favorite thing to do on Friday nights? Let's have some comments!
